The escalators at Dupont Circle south have been replaced twice since that station opened. Who did those? The origenal 2 were Westinghouse they were replaced by 3 from I believe Thyssen or Kone then replaced by 3 from another vendor. Schindler acquired Westinghouse Elevator and Escalator division in 1989 which happens to roughly coincide with the time WMATA began competitive bidding escalator contracts for individual stations.
