This time, you might be right, depending upon how much clout politicians have with the WMATA brass. A major league baseball playoff game is that important, and the bad publicity is that bad. You can bet that if something like that happened in New York, Gov. Cuomo would be all over the MTA, unless a blizzard or a hurricane were approaching. And if Gov. Cuomo didn't say anything, Senator Schumer would be in front of a podium somewhere. |
