Yup. The same train can have up to 3 different crews.I watched a documentary a while ago and apparently the crew switching idea was directly taken from RER. The Tokyo Metro guys went to France to learn exactly how all of that worked. As for dwell time, the Japanese use it for schedule adjustment - the Metro part operates at higher frequencies that don't divide nicely into the railroad timetable, so some dwell has to happen anyway. |
