From what I have seen in the B of T rule book relative to the IRT, if a section break signal flashed in front of a M/M he was instructed to keep the train going until the entire train was in the dead section to avoid bridging the sections. In the unlikely event that the train did bridge the sections, the M/M was to pull the bus and balance jumpers between the cars in the 2 sections. |
