My thing is the city needs to shift away from the shelter system and start putting people (especially families) in actual HOUSING.NIMBYs are going to stop it, maybe even in the cases where the old housing projects are still standing and need to be rehabbed. Then there is the need for money to create the subsidized mhousing and the additional security needs to prevent them from becoming hell holes. |
