Posted by SUBWAYMAN on Fri Jul 29 10:35:30 2016 These two videos were taken in April 2008 and August 2009 respectively. It is of a ride to Short Beach on former BMT Gate car 1349 at the Shore Line Trolley Museum. This car used to run on the Myrtle Ave elevated. 1349 is not completely restored and still needs some work. Its sister car 1362 is at the museum but it hasn't ran in years. This is my last video taken with my first camera. The second video is of a ride on Johnstown Trolley car 358 on the Strand to the Trolley Museum of New York. The museum isn't electrified yet so 358 runs on a diesel engine until the museum can electrify. The tracks on East Strand Road need to be replaced as the ride over them can be very bump and as a result the trains have to move at a very low speed over the Strand.Ride to Short Beach on a BU El car 1349 at the Shore Line Trolley Museum Ride on a Johnstown Trolley Car 358 on the Strand to the Trolley Museum of New York Enjoy! |
