When I was 8 in 1952 my parents rode the BMT 1300 series gate cars from Fresh Pond Rd when we just moved to in the adjacent apartment house there and I was forever hooked on rapid transit from then on, I rode these cars along with the Standards and the Multi's as well with my friends in later years for joy rides, then rode the Q cars for four years to George Westinghouse V.T.C. high school in lower Brooklyn at 49 Flatbush Extension and still later the Standards to work every day ...... damn I'm missing those days LOL.
