I'v always liked that station in spite of its funky appearance and damage. The incredibly high ceilinged spacious space, square thick columns, platforms one side lower than the other, mosaics of course, just makes this station plain awesome (unfortunately a very oversed word. I meant it though. Sorry that this word has kind of lost its original connotation due to being overused). Now if only they could restore those original vintage BMT pillar signs. A very large upper case "Roman style" letter "C" with the rest of the station name, "hambers" nested inside it. Dream on.... it's too bad. |
