That's why I thought this might be interesting to everybody. Everybody except for, or course, our pet kvetch. :)The D&H, and a few other long gone railroads found it to be cheaper to just set out their junk on old, unused trackage than to have it scrapped. You'll find old relics pretty much everywhere in various states of decay. The Saratoga and North Creek railroad certainly would likely have done something with them, but they happened onto better equipment for a song. |
