BMRR: When the Q's made their last runs I was in South Dakota helping Uncle Sam defend the US from an attack by those dastardly Canadians.I did make in back to New York a few week later and was visiting my old job when word came through that the Mets had won the World Series. I walked outside and there was an impromptu block party going on all over midtown. Ticker tape was streaming from the windows and total strangers were patting each other on the back.
