It could very well be that the pilot structure has deficiencies in rigidness. The whole point of the pilot is to prevent derailments after striking an obstruction, and should be sturdy enough to shove it aside and out of the way of the wheels.Even a cab car should be able to divert most obstructions. The article does seem to make it all quite clear. Ever buy a Hundai? I can see why they want to look into what failed here. |
