If you think uprooting orchards and farms for huge suburban shopping malls benefitted this country, you need to recalculate. If you think those citizens damaged by nearby highways have no right to be considered, then obviouly an el should be rammed down the street you live on because you (equal rights before the law) have no right to complain either.As to most of the nation using cars, yes, currently true, needs to be changed. And before anyone yells socialengineering, that is what the Federal Shild and later Interstate Highway systems were. Dumb ideas have few limits, unfortunately too many are implemented. |
