However, I have wondered recently why C/R boards are needed for less than maximum length trains since when I was a C/R we didn’t need them On a full length train they are needed since the train takes the full length of the platform and it can be difficult for the C.r to determine if the train is properly berthed. On shorter trains there should be no problem determining of the train is fully in the station especially on lines like the G that only run 4 X 75 footers. |
