Posted by Dj Hammers on Mon Aug 10 16:23:03 2015 From page 387 of the preliminary budget: http://web.mta.info/mta/budget/july2015/MTA_2016_Prelim_Budget_Financial_Plan2016-2019_Vol2.pdf R32 Fleet SMS (Scheduled Maintenance). The R32 fleet was scheduled to be retired in 2017-2018. This retirement will need to be delayed until 2022 due to delays in the delivery of R179 replacement cars and increased revenue service fleet requirements. The cost of this delay is estimated to be $1.1 million in 2016, $15.9 million in 2017, $17.7 million in 2018 and $15.5 million in 2019. Position requirements are projected at 132 for 2017 and 110 for both 2018 and 2019. I'm assuming that this means that not all of the R32s will be replaced by the R179s. |
