Many I believe work as ball boys, and for many years you could get a "grounds pass" that allowed you to see matches on any court other than the "big three" (Ashe, Armstrong and Grandstand).I believe the Juniors sections of the US Open are played mostly during the second week as well and that if so was likely why there such "gentlemen's agreements" that were legend when I was growing up in Manhattan. |
