It is a no-cost diversion.Same number of M train sets is required Same number of D train sets required with 1 - 2 minutes additional running time to stop at 14th and 23rd. People have their noses buried in the Smartphones and too incoherent to notice the difference. May induce some people off the L onto the M so that service might not be so congested and prone to boarding delays. There is nothing but institutional stubbornness and lethargy preventing it. |
