Does THAT look like it was used for storage? When last gate cars for the Broadway-Brooklyn Locals were finally replaced in August, 1927 with steel Standards, the spur might have been used until about 1930. With the BMT beginning to scrap its older el cars then, there would be no need to use the spur. The el cars for Myrtle/Lex used Fresh Pond or East NY yards. |
