I think there's a misunderstadning there. I don't think the high prices are due to a tourist trap. I think the high prices are just the market-correct prices for the area/Manhattan/NYC.

Considering that high prices are mainly due to the popularity of the High Line and the people visiting it, yeah, I consider it a tourist trap.

I'm sure there are many interesting restaurants near the High Line. And any other interesting restaurant is just a short bus or subway ride away. The High Line isn't that long that you can't walk it wholly between meals that you eat elsewhere in Manhattan.

I'm sure there are, near the High Line. I just don't want to pay their higher prices.
I'm only pointing out there are alternatives to eating/drinking at the establishments near the High Line, up to and including bringing a little of my own stuff. It doesn't have to be a meal.
