That's their advantage over using a personal bike for short utility trips. I just find this whole bike thing v.rs rail or whatever is too silly to take seriously. The Boynton bicycle railroad is not making a comeback. :=) Bike share provides a solution to the last/first mile problem. It's cheaper and faster than a bus or taxi ride. Bike share's major operational challenge has been restocking bikes at major transit hubs like Penn Sta, PABT and Grand Central. |
