The film seriously misrepresented how the student got from Staten Island to his destination. How did he get to school using only a bus and train? If this film was manufactured in 1961, the Verrazano was not open yet (it opened in 1964) so there would be no bus service directly to Manhattan. Thus, he would have to take the Ferry to get to Manhattan. And unless he lived in St. George, he would have to either take a bus or the SIRT to get to the Ferry Terminal, unless he wanted to take a rather long walk.

And once he got to Manhattan, he would either have to take another train or walk to the nearest A train station, which, if I'm not mistaken, is Broadway-Nassau (now Fulton Street). And if he's getting on in Manhattan, I assume he's going uptown. And if he's getting on at Broadway-Nassau, why are the people from the Bronx and Queens also getting on there?

Something's wrong here.
