Excellent photos, but...Designed for the NEC, the old Metroliner cabs don't have much protection for the engineer in the event of a grade crossing collision. Nah, they're just Budds, and designed to crumple like a beercan. 1960s disposability at its best. It's interesting, when I was at Four Tree Island Park a few weeks later it was WMEC 908, the USCG Tahoma in port. I guess they trade off there. And are you sure that's not a 688i? |
