I spoke to my friend, and below are her comments regarding the service announcements in bold posted by Kevin from MidwoodService Change Posted: 02/23/2015 5:51PM Due to a sick customer at 30 Av, the following service changes are in effect: Some northbound [N] and [Q] trains terminate at 57 St-7 Av. Service Change Posted: 02/23/2015 5:32PM Incomplete and semi factual Due to a sick customer at 30 Av, some northbound [N] and [Q] trains terminate at 57 St-7 Av. Nowhere does this announcement indicate the complete set of instructions that the MTA issued to passengers about going to 42nd St and taking the 7. During this announcement no N or Q trains were running past 57th St. indicating a serious problem. Southbound [N] and [Q] trains are running express from Astoria-Ditmars Blvd to Queensboro Plaza. The actual announcement was there was no Northbound Q. Southbound service into Brooklyn delayed due to a sick passenger, so take the R train. Allow additional travel time. - never stated out loud Delays Posted: 02/23/2015 6:04PM Following an earlier incident at 30 Av, [N] and [Q] train service has resumed with residual delays. I was there about 20 minutes and decided to go with the R, so I couldn't say if this were true or not. |
