I drove past that spot on the Taconic a few months ago, and noticed that that crossing seemed both unsafe and redundant. The circumstances of what happened need to be looked at. If there is a simple fix (like moving a telephone pole that looks like it just may have briefly blocked the view of the flashing lights) then do it, otherwise close the crossing. |
