It's maintaining a physical connection and I have it from a road foreman that they may even be retaining thru peak service. So nothing has been set in stone operationally. And even if it had been, again, LIRR has no choice but to retain it. They want to add service but they'll have nowhere to send the trains. NYP is maxed out and all the capacity benefits of ESA will be lost if they do away FBA. Sorry, I'm just giving you the reality of the situation. |
