Back in 1930, there were several variations of the IND Fulton St Line proposed none of which yet included the current alignment. One of them, which I have a plan of, called for the line to continue straight down Fulton St under the Jamaica Line. Another called for it to turn under Liberty Av after ENY and connect to the Fulton St El about where it does now. The current configuration via Pitkin Av was the last one considered so 76 St wouldn’t even have been in the first 2 proposals. |
