Different time and place:Ridership was MUCH lower in 1991 when the (R) went to 179 as I recall as opposed to now where its bursting at the seams. I would think now some would rather have the one-seat ride even if it local than take an express. Plus, the (F) in this scenario would now be an express all the way at all times (especially if the (M) and (R) are also 24/7 lines on QB) AND if there is a logjam between Parsons and 179, you can always send a local on the express after Parsons since it would only skip 169. |
