I truly wonder just how they would add these platform barrier doors to the elevated and out-door stations.They become affixed to the platform edge. They do not take away any significant platform space. I do not believe that platform narrowness would be an issue. There would now be a "back-wall" and a platform door and you still have all of the space in between to stand within. What could be challenging in the installation of such doors is the existence of platforms with significant curves, and especially those with gap fillers. |
