I'm really curious about such doors on the elevated and out-door stations on many of our subway routes. There are plenty of elevated and outdoor stations where the platforms narrow near the front and back sections of those stations. Many of the platforms (often after the renovation) are open to the elements with just a waist-high railing serving as the "back-wall" of the platform.I truly wonder just how they would add these platform barrier doors to the elevated and out-door stations.
