Unique Transfer on Paris Metro (Lines 9 and 10) |
|
Posted by New Flyer #857 on Tue Sep 2 16:36:14 2014 On the Metro system in Paris, if one wishes to transfer from Line 9 to Line 10, the station of transfer depends on the direction desired with Line 10. That is, if one wishes to go westbound on Line 10 one would change at Michel Ange Auteuil, but if one wishes to go eastbound one would change at Michel Ange Molitor.Does anybody know of other cases like this on heavy-rail rapid transit systems throughout the world? I wouldn't count branch lines (like the Northern Line on London Underground which has multiple points of transfer with some other lines due to its varying branches) but rather instances when you would change from one line at a different station in order to go in a totally opposite direction, on the line you are transferring to. |
