In Hong Kong cross platform interchanges are done at Tiu Keng Leng and Yau Tong stations. You'd be able to make transfers against the grain at those stations, but if you'd stayed on one more stop (or gotten off a stop earlier) you'd have a cross platform transfer. Wuhan also has multi-station cross platform interchanges, and I believe the Taipei metro is designed to have them eventually.
