Note that the train does not need to crawl to a station stop point. Other videos show the doors adjusting themselves to the stop position, but with so wide an opening it's really not all that necessary. With a CBTC installation and the train communicating its speed, deceleration, and stop point to a wayside system one would expect the gates to adjust themselves to that stop point before the train actually stops at it.

There's another vertically rising PSD being tested in Japan:



IMHO the degree to which they've innovated in their platform screen door technology is very interesting. It stands in stark contrast to, say, those here who scream "unpossible!" when faced with creating a solution to the spate of suicides the NYCT system experienced last year.
