You do not need uniform stations and uniform trains, but the technology to install wuch a system in the subway right now would be highly expensive.And as I explained before, 600 feet is the rough limit. It's in the contract with the TWU, one person per 300 feet of train. That 70 feet you want to add would involve a third crew member on every train. |
