In October 1969 I was at UCLA, but I had ridden the line back in 1963 or 1964, when I first became seriously interested in the subways. I remember being amazed at the cars running on that line, which of course I had never before seen.I now work at 2 MetroTech, on the south side of the Myrtle Promenade between Lawrence and Bridge Sts, and I can hardly believe that the el ever existed there.
