It's either a tower operator's dream or a tower operator's nightmare depending on which way you look at it but it's a lot easier now since a push button machine was installed in the tower. In the old days the Tw/O had to manipulate individual signal and switch levers to make the moves. Before the Randolph and Wells station was eliminated, you could go the the pedestrian bridge above the platforms at about 500PM turn on your camcorder and leave it there for about a half hour and capture some of the most interesting railroad activity to be seen anywhere rivaling even the NYCTS for its complexity.
