Yes, passengers along the Jamaica Avenue corridor through Woodhaven and Richmond Hill seem to prefer to go out of the way to Jamaica to transfer to the Manhattan-bound E rather than ride the J/Z through Brooklyn into Manhattan. The fact that the E goes to Midtown probably has a lot to do with that.Of course, now it's possible for weekday Jamaica/Broadway-Brooklyn riders to reach Midtown via a same-platform transfer to the M at Essex Street. |
