Can't say how it works with the city retirement system, but at the state level, if you get called back and your pension is suspended, what they do is recalculate your rate when you finally pipe off the ship and that rate, based on your age and years, is often considerably better than when you piped off. It's all done based on underwriting scores, and when you go back into the system, they recalculate your rate.Once again, dunno how NYCERS does it ... |
