Been offered that as well at the state level - PROBLEM at the state level anyway is that even as a consultant, that gets civil service on your ass, and it gets messy. At the state level, you have to register under the lobbying laws and a whole raft of things UNLESS you're doing it under some corporation that hires you.Like I said, dunno how the city system does it, but it gets really messy at the state level. When I saw all the encumberances involved, I just said "nay" ... :) Your system down there is different. There's nothing I'd get a kick out of more after all these years and STILL being "fit for duty" than moving some trains and getting paid for it. But I dunno about working for the morons running the railroad THESE days, such as we see the escapees from here and their attitudes. Now if I were to work for Charlie Patterson or any of the old teeyay folks, that'd be a different story. (grin) |
