The Tappan Zee is due to collapse in just a few more years, and SOMETHING has to be done. Since the taxpayers are not willing to front such a large number, then it's going to have to wait or there won't be any replacement bridge at all. Those folks there will either have to drive to Jersey or the Thruway is going to have to cross at Newburgh. Remember, this is a THRUWAY bridge. |
