Aside from the fact that the NYCS has effectively implemented faux version of automatic train control with timers and tripstops, G/Y can result in a wrong side failure if the yellow lamp were to burn out or be obscured. Yeah route knowledge and dark signal head procedures, but why set up an unsafe situation. |
