It looks very bad to me, especially if track/third rail is torn up. It would to be replaced. But how do you re-rail a car if there is no track to put it on? Or if the truck came off the car?

Let's discuss this logically. With the sun beating down beating down on those rails all day they had to be super hot. Didn't the derailment happen around sunset so the rails didn't have a chance to cool down yet? Doesn't that freight train, with all those heavy garbage cars, weigh a hell of a lot more than a passenger train? Doesn't that sheer weight put more stress on the tracks/roadbed?
