There's no doubt that home prices there have shot up over the past few years, but I'm skeptical of that $625K figure. Other sites I checked put the median in the $400K-$450K range. Maybe some are including or excluding apartment sales, but that's bound to cause confusion if left unstated.Building sizes can vary greatly from block to block in that area and so will prices. You'll see some old 2 family wood frame, then a block of 8 family tenements, then the traditional railroad room 6 families. |
