The Triplexes, unless they got to Pitkin under their own power more recently, last ran under their own power on October 27th, 2004 as part of the NYTM's "Parade of Trains" couducted on the express tracks of the Brighton Line between Brighton Beach & Kings Highway. They did not carry passengers that day at all, though, as they needed help to get over the Manhattan Bridge and suffered mechanical difficulties as a result. The R-9s pulled them back to Coney Island Yard later that same evening.--Mark |
