But people paid that extra nickel in the evening, instead of having to trudge back to Willets Point all at once. By then they all had been walking around the grounds all day,doing stuff. And admittedly, the IND was still only the 8th Ave line for much of the fair.Actually, the LIRR had both subway lines beat - non stop from Penn Station for 20 cents. |
