They have to find a way to get the loop station back in operation again. They are already using the track to bring the trains back to Rector. It would probably take less time and money to get the gap fillers back working and do a decent paint job and put the turnstiles back in.That way they can provide service while they figure out just what they want to do (and overspend) on getting the new station rebuilt. So only the first 5 cars can be opened. That is the way it was until the new station opened in 2009. The free transfer between the 1 and R is nice to have but is not that important. People will get used to it. |
