In fact, the damage would likely been limited to the first few feet of each, with the colliding units bouncing off each other.I wonder - has there ever been a AB-on-AB rear-ender at any time during their storied careers? I can remember some examples of derailments and side impact damages, but not anything like this. And did they have as sensitive handbrakes as the R-1/9s seemed to have had? wayne |
