Cause I worked on SEPTA's Fort Washington station reconstruction Why not share with the rest of us the inside poop on how a project like that is handled? I know I'm interested! there is a world of difference between a 12" TOR slab (essentially a sidewalk any contractor can pour) and a series of mini-piles supporting a prestressed concrete frame on which a reinforced concrete slab that just happens to sit four feet in the air.. I've done both & it takes much more physical & mental effort in the field to pour a "sidewalk" than do a prefab job with footers. "Any contractor" cannot do this. I'm sure these guys would agree with me. This comment screams of no actual experience doing the labor. |
