You can build more high level platforms.Of course! The solution must be more government spending, right? We'll just throw good money after bad to allow these Acelas to be cascaded into lesser services. They are not all that expensive when compared to building modern low level platforms. And your experience in the field which leads you to say this what exactly again? Cause I worked on SEPTA's Fort Washington station reconstruction and there is a world of difference between a 12" TOR slab (essentially a sidewalk any contractor can pour) and a series of mini-piles supporting a prestressed concrete frame on which a reinforced concrete slab that just happens to sit four feet in the air. |
