Mr Edwards: You sound like a good solid BMT man to be asking about the R-27/30's. The car assignment plan after Chrystie Street initially called for R-27/30's on the N,NX, QB,QJ,RJ and RR.

They were also assigned to the weekend and night time "JJ" between 168 Street and Broad Street.

This car plan was not followed religiously for very long. In the days after Chrystie Street it seemed that you could rice any piece of equipment on nearly any line. About the only thing that you were sure of was catch a Q-Type on the Myrtle Avenue El south of Broadway.
