Dumbasses do dumbass things because they're dumbasses!!! People have been caught beating the fare while doing all kinds of other stupid s*** they might otherwise have gotten away with. I don't have details, but I heard some years ago that a guy who had escaped from Death Row in Texas or Virginia or somewhere was apprehended on the NYC Subway when he jumped the turnstile.Basically, most street criminals are indivduals with very poor socialization, and they really don't know HOW to follow normal rules, and this guy probably couldn't have easily figured out that committing a minor offense may still provide the tip-off that you've also comitted a bigger one. He may have now learned it the hard way. n the other hand, the lesson he may (not knowing him, I have no way of really knowing)have learned is to shoot any cop who tries to question him for anything. |
