Posted by JayZeeBMT on Mon Sep 3 11:40:34 2012 The NYPD sent me this little tidbit, via Facebook:"NYPD Transit Officers recovered a loaded 9mm Bryco handgun after they stopped a man for jumping the turnstile at the Dyckman Street subway station in upper Manhattan Thursday. Officers Rene Mendez and Alberto Rivera assigned to Transit District 3 observed the man jump over the turnstile and board the southbound No. 1 train. The Officers followed him onto the train that was waiting in the station, removed the man, and recovered the loaded gun. The man, 22, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, intent to obtain transportation without payment, and criminal trespass." So, if you Know you're carrying an illegal handgun, why call attention to yourself by jumping over a turnstile? SMH!!! |
